frankly speaking, we didnt plan to have steak for dinner last week, but then, since our fave Mak Jah Mee Udang tutup (maybe sebab takde stok udang, no kidding, I'm serious-they'll close the restaurantkalau takde stok shrimp) so terpaksa divert ke the nearest restaurant - Ayers Rock.
Hoping that the restaurant will be as good (if not better) as the one in Bukit Jelutong, we went in without hesitation..
their interior is still the same. but a bit dull,i think. for the interior, we prefer Bkt Jelutong more than Wangsa Maju kot..
dan meat selection tak sebanyak kat Bkt Jelutong. org makan pun tak ramai - but maybe sebab kitorg pergi di tengah bulan, dan weekdays pulak kot?
we ordered our fave steak:
tenderloin steak for me. I ordered medium well, medium sized-steak. namun, hampa, sebab diserve small sized-steak. dan medium well tak berapa well, mcm ala2 medium rare saje!! dan daging pulak banyak lemak2 keras berbanding daging! even our fave potato salad pon tak sedap- masam semacam saja!! gravy pun tak sama dgn Bkt Jelutong punya, cair dan tasteles!!!
dear hubby ordered medium well ribeye steak.
FRUST SUPER DUPER BIIGGGGG TIMEE!!
why?
1. he ordered medium well, tapi dapat medium rare. daging still mentah.
2. he ordered the biggest portion - big eater- tapi dapat hearty meal (medium portion) saja (nasib baik!)..
3. the biggest frustration - rasa daging mentah/tak masak sebijik macam daging BURUK yg dah di-defrost lama!! memang tahap dah smelly ! yulk!!
4. tak pasal2 malam tu mr hubby kena food poisoning!!!!
my advise, Bukit Jelutong's branch is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better. if possible, please avoid Wangsa Maju's branch. If u ask us, we would say- A big NO-NO! Sorry, I'm not going to give their address/phone number/gps coordinates.waste of time and money.
If u want to have real steak, go to Bukit Jelutong. way better. way cheaper. worth the trip. u can read my review here and here
